Abstract: Pb-free silver gray metallic luster glaze was prepared using the mixture of common ceramic raw materials like feldspar, silica, alumina, calcite, etc. with aluminum phosphate, iron oxide and crisping agent. The effects of the batch formula and the firing system on the metallic luster of the glaze were studied. The results show that fine silver gray metallic luster glaze could be obtained when the base glaze was doped with 11%~15% (mass fraction) of aluminum phosphate, 2.3%~3.5% of iron oxide and 30% ~ 35% of crisping agent, and fired at 1230℃ for 20min.
