Nucleation Behaviors of Li2O- Al2O3- SiO2 Glass Containing P2O5 and/or Fhan

Abstract: The nucleation behavior of Li2O- Al2O3- SiO2 (LAS) glas s containing P2O5 and/or F- was s tudied and the effect of F- and P5+ ions on the nucleation of LAS glas s was also discus sed. The results showed that F- and P5+ ions have different effect on the nucleation of LAS, the optimum nucleation sys tem of LAS glas s containing P2O5 and F- is 700 ℃/1 h, and 740℃/1.5 h for that containing only P2O5. F- ion decreases the crys tallization peak temperature and nucleation temperature and improves the nucleation and crys tallization, but P5+ ion increases the nucleation temperature and time.
