Abstract: The Middle Clay Minerals of Guanqian Porcelain Stone The different characteristics of sericite and other clay minerals in porcelain stone on the X-diffraction spectrum, infrared spectrum and differential thermal curve are introduced. According to the characteristics of the curve, sericite is divided into three types: 1M, 2M1, and 2M2. Diffraction and infrared light analysis have identified that the clay minerals in the porcelain stone not only have regular mixed layer types, such as mica +chlorite stick layer, but also have irregular long-period mixed layer types, such as illite + Montmorillonite mixed layer and so on.
