Abstract:  The chemical compositions,phase compositions and the change in appearance and microstructure of the glazes during  firing  were  investigated  by  SEM,  TEM,  EDAX,  OM,  and XRD. The crystallization kinetic study of tea-dust glazes was made. The optimum  region of glaze compositions, the proper firing schedules and the microstructure of the glazes were obtained. These data provide scientific bases for making high quality tea-dust glazes.
